What Are Semi-Automatic Stretch Wrap Machines?

Stretch wrap turntable machines are industrial equipment designed to automate the process of wrapping pallets and loads with stretch film. They provide an efficient, safe, and cost-effective solution for securing goods for transportation or storage.

How Do Semi-Automatic Pallet Wrapper Machines Work?

The operator places the pallet onto the turntable and attaches the film. Once the wrap cycle is initiated, the machine automatically spins the pallet and applies the pallet stretch wrap film uniformly. After the cycle completion, the operator cuts the film and removes the wrapped pallet.

Wrapping by Hand vs. Pallet Wrapping Machine

Hand wrapping and using a semi-automatic stretch wrapper machine present two distinct approaches to securing loads. Hand wrapping tends to be not only time-consuming and physically demanding, but often results in inconsistent wrap quality.In contrast, pallet wrapping machines provide higher efficiency, consistency, and load stability, making them a superior choice for medium to high-volume operations. Additionally, turntable stretch wrappers require far fewer workers who won’t get nearly as tired as they would if wrapping by hand.

How Many Times Should a Pallet Be Wrapped?

A general guideline is to set your machine for two wrap revolutions on the top and two on the bottom. The wrap also goes up and down to cover the middle. We recommend increased wrap revolutions for heavier products.
